Management Liability Insurance

Management liability brings together selected protections for the way an organisation is managed. It can involve the organisation, its directors and employment decisions, but each section has its own insured parties and conditions.

Who it is for

SMEs and associations examining organisational decisions, employment practices and governance responsibilities.

Explore the cover

These are areas to discuss, not an automatic inclusion list. Available sections and cover depend on the selected wording and schedule.
01

Directors and the organisation

Claims against individual directors and claims against the company are not identical. Check who is insured, the capacity in which they act and any company-reimbursement or entity-liability section.

02

Employment practices liability

Employment-related allegations, such as wrongful dismissal or discrimination, may be addressed through a selected employment-practices section. This is distinct from workplace injury insurance and should not be labelled simply Employers Liability.

03

Crime and investigations

Employee dishonesty, corporate liability and eligible investigation expenses can have separate terms and limits. Confirm what is selected; this page makes no promise that fines, penalties or every inquiry cost are insurable or covered.

Information for quotations

Describe entities, ownership, staff numbers and locations, employment processes, financial information and existing or threatened disputes.

Limitations and exclusions to discuss

Sections differ by proposal. Review insured persons/entities, employment allegations, statutory matters, exclusions and limits. Insurance does not replace employment or legal advice.

Frequently asked questions

Are Employers Liability and Employment Practices Liability the same?
No. A workplace injury obligation and an employment-practices allegation are different questions. Identify the requirement before selecting any policy description.
Does Management Liability remove the need to review D&O?
No. Check whether the selected arrangement addresses the relevant individuals, entities and appointments; standalone D&O requirements remain distinct.
